How to pick a Twitter giveaway winner

Copy the giveaway post link
On X, open your giveaway post, tap the Share icon and choose Copy link. On desktop you can copy the URL from the address bar.

Set winners and conditions
Paste the link. The post’s author is filled in as the account entrants must follow. Choose how many winners to draw and, if you like, require a reply or quote and exclude default-picture or new accounts.

Draw and keep the record
Press Draw winners to see the winners and alternates. Open each winner’s profile or a DM, download the full entrant CSV, and save the seed and time of the draw.
How the draw stays fair
Your browser generates a 128-bit seed with crypto.getRandomValues. Eligible entrants are sorted by user ID and shuffled with Fisher–Yates, using SHA-256 of the seed as the random stream. The draw runs in your browser, so the server cannot change the result, and anyone with the seed and the entrant CSV can reproduce the same order.
How follow checks work
Follows are checked in two steps. The tool first reads your account’s newest followers (up to 2,000 for free). Entrants of follow-and-repost giveaways usually followed you recently, so most candidates are confirmed there. For anyone not found, it looks for your account in the candidate’s latest 400 follows. A candidate is skipped when your full follower list or their full following list was read without a match, and the next one moves up. Anyone who could not be confirmed either way is marked for a manual check; turn on strict mode to skip them automatically.

Frequently asked questions
Is this Twitter giveaway picker free?
Yes. Drawing from the newest 1,000 reposters is free and needs no account, with a fair-use limit of 20 draws per hour per network. Signed-in users can draw from up to 10,000 reposters with their own Credits.
How can I prove the draw was fair?
The seed comes from crypto.getRandomValues and the draw runs in your browser. Save the seed, time and entrant-list fingerprint with the CSV. Entering the same seed under More options with the same entrant list gives the same winners, and you can publish the seed with your announcement.
Can I pick winners from likes?
No. Since June 2024, X shows who liked a post only to its author, so no outside tool can read likes. Use follow plus repost, and optionally a reply or quote, as your entry rules.
How do I contact the winners?
X lets you send a DM to anyone who follows you, so requiring a follow means you can message winners straight from the results. Say in your giveaway post that you will only contact winners from your official account and set a reply deadline, then move to the alternates if a winner does not answer.
